This Privacy Policy explains what information Hume Health Corp collects when you visit humeband.org or use the Hume Health app, how we use it, and the choices you have. Health data is sensitive, and we've tried to write this in plain language rather than dense legal boilerplate.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Account details — name, email address, shipping address, and payment information when you place an order or create an account.
• Support communications — anything you share when contacting our support team.

Information from your device

• Biometric and activity data captured by the Hume Band — heart rate, HRV, SpO2, skin temperature, sleep stages, and movement — used to generate the metrics shown in the app (like Metabolic Momentum and biological age).
• Technical data — device type, app version, and general usage patterns, used to keep the app working reliably.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate the health insights and trends displayed in your Hume Health app.
• To process orders, ship products, and handle returns or warranty claims.
• To provide customer support and respond to your questions.
• To improve the accuracy of our sensors and algorithms over time, generally using de-identified or aggregated data.
• To send order-related communications, and — only if you opt in — occasional product updates or offers.

3. Your Data Is Yours

Your biometric data belongs to you. You can export your full data history from within the Hume Health app at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support — we'll process deletion requests within 30 days, except where we're required to retain certain records (like order history) for legal or tax purposes.

4. When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal health data. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers who help us operate — payment processors, shipping carriers, and cloud hosting providers — bound by contracts limiting their use of your data to providing that service.
• Legal requirements, if we're required to disclose information to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• Business transfers, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the same privacy commitments described here.

5. How We Protect Your Data

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest, and we limit internal access to personal and health data to employees who need it to do their jobs. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously given the sensitivity of health information.

humeband.org uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some site features may not work correctly if you disable them.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of marketing communications at any time (there's an unsubscribe link in every marketing email we send). To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.
